The major advantage is that the Glitter Thread it is very thin but extremely sparkly. I was immediately smitten when I saw the additional thread to the yarn. 

Crochet or knitted pieces made with this thread have a wonderfully modern and stylish appearance.

The thread consists Cupro 65%, Metalized Polyester 35% and can be washed at 40 degrees.
